We are looking for a dynamic, creative, client-minded and experienced salesperson, to promote and sell EthiFinance’s ESG products to institutional investors in France, French-speaking Switzerland and Benelux. You will lead the prospection, negotiation and commercial follow-up and ensure the closure of deals. The product suite you will sell includes our proprietary ESG Ratings and Data as well as tailor-made responsible investment solutions.

Your target clients include (equity/fixed income) fund managers, asset owners, banks and insurance firms. Your assignment is to develop an ambitious sales prospection plan in line with the group’s strategy and to grow our customer base in your assigned markets.

You will be part of a European Sales team, reporting to the Global Head of Sales & Marketing. You will also collaborate closely with our European teams in France, Germany and Spain to further develop EthiFinance’s market success, including on marketing activities, client relationship management, and product / methodology development. You will receive intensive training on our ESG products and it is expected that you develop in-depth knowledge of our methodologies and solutions.

You will organize and actively participate in market events and networks to enhance EthiFinance’s visibility in your target regions. This also requires an active presence in professional social networks. You will provide accurate and articulate reporting and feedback on the regional client experience for continuous service improvement.

The position is based in Paris with regular travel to target regions and other EthiFinance offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy in support of our strategic objectives and ambitious sales plans to become a key player in Europe and in the countries in which EthiFinance is present.

  • Identify and capture new business opportunities in all our markets through effective lead generation and relationship building.

  • Lead prospecting, negotiation and commercial follow-up of clients.

  • Actively participate in trade shows and conferences to enhance EthiFinance’s visibility in the European market.

  • Develop an active presence in professional networks.

  • Contribute to our marketing efforts to promote our ESG products.

  • Create and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Develop a deep understanding of your markets and clients and report back on specific needs to the relevant teams.

Profil recherché

  • Masters or equivalent level in Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability;

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in Finance, and / or ESG sector;

  • A proven track record of successful commercial experience in selling financial and/or ESG information services, and/or financial or nonfinancial rating agency services, with exposure to RI/ESG topics;

  • Very good knowledge of the asset management (equity/fixed income) and banking sectors and of asset owners in France, Benelux and Switzerland;

  • Good knowledge of the European sustainable finance regulation;

  • Very good understanding of the asset management (equity/fixed income) an/or banking sectors and their dynamics;

  • Network of relevant target contacts;

  • Robust knowledge of sales and marketing strategies and techniques, including lead generation, conversion and relationship management;

  • Autonomy, adaptability and the ability to develop a commercial approach (prospection, proposals, sales process);

  • Strong team spirit, ethical values and commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible business practices;

  • Fluency in English and French; a professional level in Dutch or German would be a plus.
