As our Cybersecurity Research & Pentesting Intern, you’ll sit at the intersection of deep-tech hacking and business impact. You’ll support advanced penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and enhance our AI-driven security platform. In parallel, you’ll contribute to research initiatives with opportunities to author publications advancing the state of application security.
Hands-on pentesting: Break (and help fix) real-world SaaS, API and cloud infrastructures.
Original research: Cecurity research to uncover new attack techniques, with the chance to share your work through blog posts and contribute to research papers that make an impact in the cybersecurity community.
Business insight: Translate technical findings into clear value for customers, product, and go-to-market teams.

You’ll be working close to Escape’s CEO & co-founder, Tristan Kalos to explore
Conduct Security Research: Investigate emerging attack vectors and contribute to research publications and technical blog posts that share your findings with the security community.
Perform Penetration Testing: Design and execute targeted penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities, validate security measures, and support continuous improvement of our AI-driven platform.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Tech, Marketing and Business team to integrate research insights into real-world security features and defenses.
Support Innovation at Scale: Help evolve core technologies by contributing to internal tools, proof-of-concepts, AI, data-driven analysis that strengthen platform resilience.
Background in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical field.
Experience conducting academic or independent research in cybersecurity or a related technical domain.
Ability to write clearly about technical topics for both research publications and technical blogs.
Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.
Frontend:
