In this developing international context, we are looking for a NLP Developer for our Paris office, to reinforce the VECKO R&D team (full remote possible)

Part of NLP roadmap for 2021 is to provide vecko’s solution with new features, and add new channels (voice to text, social media).

As an NLP developer, you’ll work on english datasets (US/UK/CA english) to improve the following features: Topic Extraction, Sentiment Analysis, Emotion Analytics, etc.

• You’ll apply methods from NLP and Machine Learning to massive volumes of customer conversations.
• You’ll support and enhance a stack that includes morphological analysis, tagging, classification and information retrieval.
• You’ll build extraction algorithms (Java, Groovy)
• You’ll also work with datasets across multiple industries (telecom, retail, banking).
• You’ll run evaluation experiments

Working in a challenging technical environment, your main missions will be :

Realize the functionalities of the solution

• Participate in the preparatory analysis of the features

Improve and optimize existing functionalities

• Contribute to the maintenance of existing features
• Carry out analyses of malfunctions, performance problems or stability of the operation in collaboration with the Support team
• Consider and propose technical evolutions of the solution: maintainability, performance, test coverage…

Transmit the necessary knowledge to the operation

• Ensure that the developed functionalities can be implemented by the internal or external operators thanks to the technical documentation, the “ change logs “, the technical workshops…

Guarantee and contribute to the technical and technological mastery of the R&D team

• Share your experience with your peers (e.g. peer programming, code reviews, presentations, etc.). Monitoring of used and related technologies through specialized magazines, forums, trade shows, conferences, user groups, training sessions, etc.

Bringing expertise to our customers’ technical issues

• Take part in the customer escalation process (telephone points)
• Assist the Technical Manager of the product line in evaluating the feasibility and cost of specific customer requests

Convey the necessary knowledge to the operation

• Ensure that the developed functionalities can be implemented by internal or external operators thanks to technical documentation, change logs, technical workshops, etc.
• Contribute to the establishment of diagnostic analyses to qualify identified problems (e.g. slow application, overloaded system, overconsumption of disk space) for internal and external Eptica contributors.

Participate in increasing the efficiency of the team

• Be involved in the decisions made by the team
• Contribute experience and ideas to optimize the team’s immediate and long-term efforts
• Contribute to the team’s work environment and methodologies

Agile Organization

• Understand and Analyze textual data in English (A good level in French is also required)
• Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures, and modeling
• Strong communication skills (English or French)
• Degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics or similar field
