You will be part of a dedicated team that constantly applies the last innovations of our AI R&D team in order to push forward the performance of our algorithms in production, or create new algorithms from scratch.
It means that you will learn from experts in the dedicated AI team, and that you will work on state-of-the-art topics in the field of deep learning / Machine Learning.
You will work closely with :

• the AI R&D team, to apply their state-of-the-art innovations in order to push forward the performance of our algorithms in production
• the AI Engineering team, to integrate new features and improve our internal AI framework
• the GIS team, that will help you with data management and selection
• the business experts, to get feedback on the algorithm results and understand the client needs

Your tasks will include:

• Applying last innovations of our AI R&D team to the use case to push forward the performance of our algorithms, and testing new state-of-the-art methods from scratch based on recent articles
• Developing, training and testing the algorithms using our AI framework.
• Coming up with new ideas to push forward the performance of our algorithms.
• Develop dedicated pre-processing and post-processing stages to push forward the performance of the models, and possibly work closely with the AI framework team to integrate them into production
• Contributing to the specifications of our AI framework to enhance productivity.
• Understanding the needs and expectations for the detectors to improve (what environment it has to be performant on, what functioning point is needed, etc.) in order to help planning new developments and define the testing sets to monitor them.
• Work closely with the GIS team and business experts to understand those needs.

We are looking for an open-minded individual with impressive skills, a proven track record. The skills listed below are key to be up to this challenge.

The must-haves:

• Education in the field of data science / deep learning (Master degree, or PHD)
• At least 6 months of experience in deep learning / Machine Learning (internships, online courses, personal side projects, etc.)
• Very good understanding of Machine Learning techniques (DL techniques for images and text data, ML techniques for other data types).
• Good skills in Python
• Rigorous, creative and meticulous mind
• Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and reporting capabilities.
• Willingness to take on challenges, show resiliency and like to always learn new skills

The nice-to-haves:

• Strong knowledge in Computer Vision
• Proficiency with docker
