What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data across Doctolib's platform. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support our mission of improving healthcare accessibility.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security and regulatory compliance
• Drive adoption of the data taxonomy framework across all teams and data sources
• Support implementation of consent management and data access controls for sensitive healthcare data
• Collaborate with Legal and Security teams on GDPR compliance and healthcare data protection requirements
• Maintain data documentation and metadata standards in the enterprise data catalog
• Monitor and report on data governance KPIs and compliance metrics to track program effectiveness
• Establish a federated data governance model with data stewards and build strong stakeholder relationships with data and engineering teams
• Embed governance policies within the platform by working closely with engineering teams and data product managers

You could be our next teammate if you:

• Have strong knowledge of data protection regulations (GDPR, healthcare data) 
• Have a Master degree (Bac+5) in data, computer science or related domain
• Have proven stakeholder management skills to effectively bridge technical and business teams, ranging from senior leadership to data engineers
• Have experience with SQL and database management systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and familiarity with data modeling, metadata management, data lineage tools or data engineering
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Nice to have: experience with data architecture, data operations and transformation
