Covivio’s Hotels Division is looking for a Junior Asset Manager based in Madrid, Spain, for a 12-month V.I.E mission (renewable for another 12 months), starting September 1rst.
As part of the Asset & Development Management team, based in Madrid, you will support the implementation of real estate strategies across the portfolio. You’ll be involved in both operational and strategic management, working closely with local teams and the Group Hotel Management.
Asset Management
Monitor hotel operational performance (monthly reviews, KPIs, P&L analysis, market and competitor comparisons).
Track the technical condition of the assets.
Assist in preparing annual budgets.
Coordinate with hotel operators, internal teams (finance, legal, technical), and external service providers.
Prepare presentations and internal reports.
Acquisition & Repositioning
Analyze investment and asset repositioning projects: financial modeling (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis).
Conduct market research and benchmarking of comparable assets.
Draft investment memos and internal presentations.
Support asset disposal processes.
You hold a Master’s degree from a business school, engineering school, or university with a focus on finance and have prior experience in a similar position (asset management, fund management, real estate valuation), ideally within a real estate or hospitality group (REIT, investment fund, asset manager), a bank (M&A, real estate financing, structured finance), or a consulting firm (transaction services, real estate audit).
Key skills required:
Strong financial Knowledge Financial modeling, financial ratios, and aspects related to hospitality real estate.
Hotel real estate market knowledge: Good understanding of market trends and key players.
Analytical & writing skills: Ability to draft clearly and analyze complex issues with precision and insight.
Excellent interpersonal skills: Comfortable collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, with strong coordination and synthesis capabilities.
Tool proficiency: Proficient in financial modeling (Excel) and presentation design (PowerPoint).
Language fluency: You are fluent in Spanish, English, and French, both spoken and written.
