Descriptif du poste

Contentsquare is a global digital analytics company empowering the brands you interact with every day to build better online experiences for all. Since our founding in France in 2012, we have grown to be a truly global and distributed team – known as the CSquad – representing more than 70 nationalities across the world.

In 2022, we raised $600M in Series F funding and were recognised as a certified Great Place to Work in France, Germany, Israel, US and UK.

Please Note: Scammers are posing as Contentsquare and Contentsquare team members. We’ll never initially contact you via text or GChat, and never solicit money from you. Please visit our careers blog for more information.

This position is open to several locations: Paris, and Rennes.

The Tag team develops a TypeScript tracker collecting anonymous data to feed Contentsquare SAAS products. It respects privacy, personal user information, internet security protocols, and regulations.

It collects all interactions (page views, clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, ...) from all the visitors to the websites of our thousands of enterprise-grade clients (i.e. Microsoft, Verizon, Walmart, HSBC, Disney, Ikea, ...). As the tracker is loaded and executed on millions of user sessions a day, the Tag team is driven by three main pillars: code quality, security, and performance.

We pay a lot of attention to compatibility with all available browsers and versions, support for the diversity of front-end frameworks, and anticipation of new rules and regulations to foresee future developments that could break the functioning of our data collection are everyday concerns.

The data flow that powers Contentsquare Products naturally starts with the tracker, giving it a primary role in the evolution of our product portfolio. We are proud to continuously enrich our product functionalities with session replay recordings, tag manager capabilities, error tracking, merchandising data collection, and so on.

The team has embarked on a mission: Deliver the best-in-class Tag, recognized as such by our customers, the analytics market, and our competitors.

What's in the DNA of this team? Quality! Since the first days at CS, the Tag team has developed a high level of code quality, respecting the SOLID principles, adopting Clean Architecture and test automation. Web expertise! We sit at the forefront of web development, solving uniquely hard problems and pushing back the limits of the possible. Continuous improvement! We truly want to stand best in the industry and leave the competition behind, by fostering a continuous & data-driven improvement approach.

The team is organized into two sub-teams:

- A core team whose mission is to consolidate the foundations of the tracker (Architecture, Performance, Scalability, CI/CD)

- A product team whose mission is to develop all the product functionalities to feed the whole system.

This job posting is for a Software Engineering role within one of the two sub-teams.
