You will play a critical role in defining and driving the strategic technical direction of our company. As a leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our engineering department, scaling the team, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to translate business goals into technology solutions. You will operate with the support of a Staff Engineer and a Product Lead in your effort to scale the function.
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the strategic technical direction, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals and vision.
Team Building & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Process & Quality: Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of engineering processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Resource Management: Ensure efficient allocation of engineering resources across projects and initiatives, balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic growth.
Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and other business units to drive product development and ensure smooth delivery of features and products.
Technology Vision: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and competitive landscape to ensure Colonies technological leadership in the market. Contribute to the roadmap as defined by the Product team to ensure we stay on top of our game technology-wise
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate technical vision, challenges, and needs to the executive team, and other stakeholders.
Project Delivery: Setup and report Engineering KPIs and goals, work hand in hand with Product and Data to improve quality, security and performance of our products
