Practice Area Profile

BCG’s Energy practice helps companies navigate an increasingly complex business climate. The practice covers the Oil & Gas and Power & Utilities sectors. We also have deep knowledge in Energy transition and Sustainability, Energy Trading and Risk Management and Energy Engineering and Services. Our projects typically apply BCG’s core consulting skills in functional areas such as, digitalization, strategy, organisation or performance improvement, but in the distinctive environment of Energy. We also address projects that touch upon more operational or technical challenges, which we deliver through our expert consultants, occasionally partnering with external specialists. We work with the senior leaders of leading international and national oil companies, service providers, utilities, regulators and financial institutions. The Energy Practice has enjoyed rapid and sustained annual growth over several years, representing about 10% of BCG’s global business volume.Worldwide over 300 Partners, Principals and Project Leaders focus in the Energy space, supported by a large group of Energy experienced and trained Consultants and Analysts, many with pre-BCG industry experience. We are well known for our long history of cutting-edge research and thought leadership. What You’ll Do

As a Senior Associate/Consultant within BCG’s Energy Practice Area, you will be a core member of our practice working alongside some of the world’s top minds in the industry shaping the future of the nuclear industry. You will collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients on a variety of topics, such as:

· Supporting government in designing their nuclear program in Western Europe

· Helping the project owner to select nuclear technology for future nuclear new build in Eastern Europe

· Supporting SMR developer to build their global supply chain and accelerate commercial readiness in North America

· Supporting M&A deals in decommissioning space in Europe

· Defining industrial strategy for spent nuclear fuel retreatment and recycling

· Performing project recovery of utility-scale nuclear new build project, both with project owner and major contractors

· Helping nuclear fusion player in their long-term commercial strategy

· 3 to 8 years of experience in the nuclear energy industry, either for a nuclear energy industry organisation or a consulting firm with experience in nuclear energy topics

· Experience in challenging roles and assets, preferably in technical or operational disciplines

· Passion for the nuclear energy industry

· Desire to support a wide range of clients

· Intellectual curiosity

· Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
