About this position

This is a freelance position, working remotely on European time zone.

You will work with a team of talented Developers, DevOps and Data Scientists who are passionate about their work and like to have fun in the process.

Your mission

Implio is our all-in-one SaaS moderation platform which combines state-of-the-art AI (deep learning, NLP, computer vision) with a powerful user interface for human moderation and statistics.

You will be responsible for the front end of Implio, a single-page application built in AngularJS and ReactJS:

• Implement new features in interaction with our backend written in Scala, Java and Node.js
• Improve upon existing features and user interface
• Contribute your ideas for building a great user experience
• Continue our transition from AngularJS to ReactJS
• Review merge requests from other team members

We are looking for a Frontend Developer with at least 4 years of experience working on web apps.

You are proficient with:

• JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Web app frameworks: ReactJS and/or AngularJS
• Tools like Webpack, Babel, Eslint
• State management patterns and solutions (e.g. Redux , NgRx)
• REST APIs
• Unit testing, end-to-end testing
• Git and continuous integration

As a person, you are:

• A team worker eager to learn new things
• Familiar with Agile methods and principles
• Detail-oriented, outgoing and a good communicator
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing (French is a plus but not mandatory)

Extra points if you are:

• Experienced in UI/UX design
• Knowledgeable about Node.js

1. First interview (30 minutes)
   Goal: a first introduction to get to know each other, review basic requirements, and answer any question you may have about the position.

2. Technical test (details shared via email, ~3 hours needed to complete)
   Goal: assess your technical skills. We’ll review the results together and give you feedback.

3. Additional interview with one or two key stakeholders (1 hour)
   Goal: meet with one or two key stakeholders of our team so they get to know you, and so you learn about our product vision and how we operate as a team.

4. Meet-and-greet with the team (30 minutes)
   Goal: an informal meeting during which you will meet a larger part of our team.
