The team

The B2B market is seen from a logistics standpoint to be very fragmented, and not well structured with high logistics costs and poor customer service. The AKS journey is about shaking and breaking these industry standards by offering to the market faster delivery times with an unprecedented customer satisfaction at a reduced cost.

Our two cornerstones to offer such a proposition are both Fulfillment with Ankorstore and Ankorstore Shipping. With Fulfillment with Ankorstore, we will offer an unbeatable logistics solution for B2B business that will rely on fulfillment centers and on a Ankorstore managed delivery network. For direct shipping, Ankorstore will focus on providing tailor made transportation offers for brands who keep the storage and preparation. On these flows, Ankorstore is building a transportation offering that will improve convenience, quality and costs.

The Carrier Management team is responsible for managing and growing the network of providers that power Ankorstore direct shipping transportation and in-house middle mile and last mile delivery service.

Main responsibilities

Ankorstore logistics, transportation seeks a Carrier Manager to own the transportation capacity, quality, and costs.

  • Handle Ankorstore carriers portfolio management to secure overall competitive capacity at the best performance
  • Manage Carrier Contracts: rate negotiation and terms (preferred CS,..) and ensure smooth rollout of contracts (invoicing validation)
  • Manage Carrier Performance: Bridge performance to target, focus on recurring issues (pickups, invoice, consignee address)
  • Maintain and improve the communication between carrier and Ankorstore CS, Brands and Retailers
  • Deploy specific transportation projects in coordination with Ankorstore Transportation Program, Fulfillment, Product, Finance, CS and Market teams

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to bring a department and company-wide perspective to decision making
  • Strong business acumen : understand how to calculate high-level ROI and partner with finance to complete a cost-benefit analysis
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and drive resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems
  • Deep understanding of the business’ and end user’s needs, and proficiently translate those needs into the right solution
  • Deep understanding of export related processes. Especially on the Brexit
  • Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization
  • Good experience in prioritizing multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
  • At least 5 Years of Supply Chain/ Transportation/ related experience
  • English fluent

Other skills that would add value:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Management, Transportation or other technical field
  • Knowledge of SQL and coding basics (or you’ll learn it with us ;) )
  • FR “Commissionnaire de transport” status

Location:

  • Paris office - remote possible based on discussion with manager
