- The production of lithium-ion-batteries requires a high level of quality and precision throughout the whole process. Such a process is dependent on a large number of parameters and generates numerous data points which are of high value for process control and optimisation. This opens a large field for innovative measurement methods and machine-learning based data analysis.

- The work consists of the investigation of measurement methods in the production of lithium-ion-batteries, with a focus on the end of line testing. The work will include the acquisition and the analysis of measurement data on different product levels: sub-component, component and full product. The work includes hands on work with electrical and other testing equipment, analysis of data large quantity of data and the presentation and interpretation of the results.

Knowledge / Know how :
- Ability for practical work (Chemical laboratory work, mechanical work, soldering, …), - Data analysis (preferably Python or MATLAB

Experience (domain, number of years):
- Previous experience is not required but experience in automotive industry or a production context are a plus.

Qualifications (diplomas,…):
Studies in Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Process Engineering.

Key behaviours:

- Advanced coding skills, software development tools (Git, Jira), lithium-ion battery knowledge, chemical laboratory experience
