About the Product Team
You’ll be joining the founding Product team at Wecasa. Work alongside ex-Shopify and ex-Uber teammates to build and grow our at-home wellness & care marketplace.

About the role
As a Product Designer, you’ll work collaboratively and iteratively to turn complex problems into intuitive user experiences. You’ll own projects from conception to launch and measure success through data and user research. We are looking for a creative, mission-driven designer to elevate the breadth and depth of of our marketplace offering to professionals and customers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling experiences via visual storytelling and user experience best practices in a variety of mediums and channels
  • Work on projects from ideation to execution while participating and sometimes leading various design initiatives including design sprints, user interviews, sketching, user flows, wireframing and stakeholder reviews
  • Evolve the user experience design of our product experiences through user interface design and art direction (visual design)
  • Be a constant learner, experiment, use tools like data, and audience segmentation to continually improve your creative approach
  • Collaborate closely with fellow designers, product managers, and engineers to develop creative product experiences.
  • Champion projects to ensure that they are progressing at a high level of quality from start to launch
  • Propose and constantly lookout for new ways to evolve and grow our Design craft or processes
  • Actively stay on top interface design trends, goals, and performance indicators
  • Help the team grow and become more effective by pairing and collaborating with other Product Designers through sharing insights, inspiration, new tools, and best practices

Preferred experience

Qualifications

  • Portfolio with a history of impactful projects that showcase your design process
  • You are customer obsessed and have a soft spot for the end-user-advocating in all areas of your work
  • Exceptional grasp of visual design, including typography, information architecture, content writing, accessibility, color, layout, and conceptual ideation
  • Human-centric approach to designing products
  • A bias for action and tenacious focus on how your work impacts users and the business
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • You’ve participated in the full project process from ideation to execution and optimization and have a passion for collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools to design storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, UI graphics/animations, and layouts (using Figma, Zeplin, Miro, Sketch, Abstract, etc)

  • Experience leading / mentoring other designers
  • Experience with helping set product strategy through methods like design sprints, quarterly or yearly planning, and team brainstorms both in-person and remotely
  • Experience setting a vision for a product experience
  • Prototyping skills (using HTML, CSS, Framer, Principle, etc.)
  • Experience in working with external agencies (ie. video production, photography)
  • Conceptual understanding of popular front-end frameworks like Angular and React
  • Experience designing for a two-sided marketplace
