The position

Job description

We’re searching for a technical writer to apply their skills as a writer and their knowledge of professional documentation management to an internal documentation project for one of our products.

You have an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information, and a natural desire to help people understand things that are hard to understand.

You will work with a team of talented content developers who work collaboratively with subject matter experts to make our products easier to use.

  • Write user-friendly help content and documentation for support teams
  • Study the software and speak with subject matter experts to learn about the product
  • Use different methods of presenting information to clearly explain concepts and processes
  • Follow internal standards and processes for creating documentation

Preferred experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in writing help content, knowledge base content or similar
  • Fully-fluent in English with a good or intermediate level of French (knowledge of other languages is a bonus)
  • Excellent written communications and knowledge of relevant industry-standard writing conventions, style guides, and publishing guidelines
  • Good knowledge of G-Suite tools and Microsoft Word; knowledge of Madcap Flare is a definite plus
  • Self-directed, but also an enthusiastic team player with a strong motivation to succeed
  • Strong ability to work closely with developers, Product Managers, business stakeholders and other subject matter experts to define documentation objectives and ensure that the delivered product meets all requirements
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple concurrent work assignment
