💻 YOUR SCOPE:

You will be acting as a User researcher in a dedicated team of three, whose mission is to represent the end users voice in the company and give research a strong role in shaping product strategic directions.

🎯 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Topics you will be working on: Hoteliers experience is at heart of our B2B platform, a Saas operated solution with a rich portfolio of 14 products, helping hoteliers for everything related to distribution. We’re also working on B2C concerns with our Booking engine for hotels.

Responsibilities:

  • One of your top responsibilities will of course be to run user research activities. You will be given the opportunity to talk with a lot of different users among our 17000 hoteliers over the world and their guests. We’re lucky to have very interested and communicative clients, always willing to give us a hand to improve our solutions.

  • Apart from direct user research, we have tons of user knowledge brought by user proxies such as Client Service, Sales or Account management. Data is also a strategic asset in our toolbox. Because our clients are so diverse and their job complex, secondary research is key in how we approach research at D-EDGE.

  • Because we don’t believe user research has to be led only by researchers, as a user research expert you will support product designers and product managers in their research initiatives. We want user research to be as frequent as possible, well planned and executed and profitable to the quality of our products.

  • To finish with, we’re always trying to optimize the way we’re dealing with research issues. Research ops will be part of your role, with topics such as our research repository, documentation (personas, customer journeys, experience maps…), research templates, user panels, etc.

PRODUCT DESIGN TEAM & MANAGEMENT

  • You will be part of the product design team, a fast-growing one that has grown from 2 to 11 people this year.

  • Our team is composed of very diverse profiles in terms of skills, backgrounds, past experiences, age, gender, nationalities and also personalities :)

  • Most of us are senior, which gives the team a strong position in the company and ability to foster change.

  • On the management side, you will be reporting to Sabine Condiescu, lead User Research. The Product Design team is led by Amelie Boucher.


Preferred experience

⭐WHAT YOU’VE GOT:

  • 5+ years of hands-on User research experience, with a diversity of B2B/Saas and B2C projects. You’re specialized into User research, with a broad range of skills and some specializations. Strong communication skills are required for the role.

  • With a proven track record of user research work, you know how to handle complex projects and are willing to adapt research processes to the context. A demonstrating portfolio is appreciated.

  • You have the ability to thrive in an environment of experimentation and are used to lean startup methodologies and agile processes.

  • You’re comfortable working in an international context and collaborating in English with your colleagues and end users.
