About

Yubo is a Social Discovery platform allowing the Z generation to create communities of friends around the world. Designed for young people between 13 and 25, Yubo lets users create live video discussion spaces where both streamers and viewers interact through a live chat.
At the same time, the platform relies on numerous tools for user safety, moderation and privacy, to make sure our platform is safe for everyone.
Created by three engineer friends with a passion for consumer apps, Yubo has already attracted over 25 million young people worldwide, with tens of thousands of new members joining the community every day.

Job description

Yubo is a platform that gives youth a place to express themselves. Our mission is to socially inspire and enable a new generation to find out about the world and themselves.

Position Overview

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building online communities and who will be in charge of growing our brand awareness through engaging and brand appropriate content.

Responsibilities

• In charge of strategy and content publication on all of our social media accounts alongside the Brand Marketing team
• Interacting with fans on our social media to increase engagement and build a strong, passionate community
• Drafting copy for our in-app push notifications to foster engagement and promote new features, updates, or events
• Monitoring the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall brand marketing strategy
• Managing the daily conversation with our most active users to gather feedback
• Reporting on performance and growth of all social channels on a weekly and monthly basis
• Keeping up-to-date with trends and maintaining a brand presence on existing and emerging social media platforms
• Handling of a social media agency along with the brand marketing team

Preferred experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject area
• Native English speaker
• 3+ years of work experience in a social media manager / community manager role for apps, gaming, or consumer-oriented companies
• Experience in building social media strategy and defining KPIs to increase engagement
• Thorough knowledge of Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok
• Strong skills in copywriting to deliver on both community and marketing communication assets
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in or desire to learn how to use social media listening tools, as well as our app analytics to push relevant communications and build reports for our internal teams
• Experience engaging or producing content for the Gen-Z audience is a plus
• Notions in French are a plus
