In light of our growth, we are looking to add a Product Owner to our Tech team for the unit (or, as we like to call it, « YounIT ») Notation.

Your missions

At YC, the quality of the collaboration between the Product Manager and the Product Owner is the key to success : the Product Manager defines the strategic priorities of the product along with the KPIs to measure its success, whereas the Product Owner is in charge of the delivery of the products and the priorisation of the associated backlog.

Within the team Notation which regroups business actors, developers and QA engineers, you will drive the implementation of new high-value business products with the aim of revolutionizing the finance world of tomorrow : nothing more, nothing less !

Notation is the team in charge of monitoring and orchestrating the data retrieved from our acquisition tunnels and web services for use by the Data Science : in short, you are the heart of the action for automatic decision making, fraud analysis, data aggregation and the different services for the Data Science. In this context, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is the following (I hope you can read fast because this message will auto-distruct in 5 seconds) :

• Analyse and specify the requirements for the team Notation in an international environment and guarantee a functional coherence between the products for which you are in charge
• Build and maintain your multi-product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Manager :

1. Specify the new requirements/functional requests and identify dependencies and impacts
2. Estimate the effort with the rest of the team
3. Breakdown and plan their development depending of available resources
4. Update the roadmap whenever necessary

• Work in close collaboration with the Principal Product Owner in charge of the delivery of the Acquisition Domain
• Produce and follow the KPI for the management of the business
• Drive the implementation of changes (leading the team, following up the tasks left to be done, reporting etc)
• Maintain and share the « Product Vision »
• Maintain the backlog for the team’s products

1. The backlog should be prioritized in coherence with the business and technical objectives
2. The user stories should be detailed in accordance to where they are in the backlog
3. Create the user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the business and QA Engineers

• Drive the correction of production bugs
• Actively and enthousiastically participate in our weekly Product Owner Community sessions

Your profile

• It has been at least 5 years since you have left the school benches behind you, but you have been flourishing in similar jobs since then (Product Owner, Application Manager, Project Manager in an agile working environment, etc)
• You like being in contact and interacting with different partners, even the most demanding of them
• You have managed to read this job advert without the help of a translator
• In an ideal world you have already written a paper on deploying APIs in an agile working environment
• You are interested in the world of Finance
• US is not just a country west of the Atlantic for you
• You remain happy when people talk about API
• For you, being agile is a lifestyle choice ; you like to reunite your family every morning for a stand-up breakfast (#StandUpMeeting)
• You don’t just think, but you analyse
• The words « Simplification » and « Prioritization » are part of your vocabulary and allow you to create and maintain efficient good quality products
