Witekio is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Technical Project Manager responsible for customer engagement, engineer communication, and managing multiple projects and customer engagements to join our team in Bristol.
The role requires a highly organized, initiative-taking project manager with client-facing business acumen. Candidates familiar with embedded Linux and IoT technologies is a plus.
The role of the Project Manager is to facilitate development, manage customer expectations and relations, embody Witekio’s values, observe and report quality standards, and act as the bridge between engineers and the customer.
In this role, you will:
- Drive and own all aspects of projects assigned which includes coordinating the internal and external project teams from inception through to completion
- Work closely with our clients to help resolve issues, clearly communicate technical concepts related to their projects, and provide superior customer service
- Oversee the Engineering activities using varied development methodologies and provide guidance internally and externally for best practices
- Review projects and timelines for accurate resource allocation
- Provide regular project status health reports and risks assessment to internal and external project stakeholders including senior leadership This is a potential pivot or course correction for business goals to be met
- Prepare and propose action plans to our external clients and provide frequent updates on the project
- Partner with Sales and Engineering Leadership to create quotes and statements of work, and obtain customer purchase orders
Your Background:
- Previous professional services experience in a customer-facing billable role (Time & materials and fixed fee)
- Provide an excellent customer experience. Includes driving discussions to refine technical requirements and be the voice of the customer when planning and prioritizing with the engineering team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Must be highly organized and have excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute competing priorities
- High-level experience using systems like Jira, Confluence and internal tools for project tracking and status reports
- Ability to define tasks and user stories, dispatch the work, and manage the team to ensure a successful delivery from the engineering team per project
- Applied experience with different software development methodologies
- Working knowledge of the software technologies and can speak to both technical and non-technical individuals about them:Prior knowledge of embedded systems, Linux, connected / IoT devices is a plus
- Formal project management training and/or PMI Certification a plus
