Descriptif du poste

Wecasa runs on bare metal servers. These servers are managed through Ansible playbooks.

As an Ops Intern, your missions will be to:

  • maintain and improve our infrastructure management. (Ansible)

  • increase observability of the infrastructure. (Improved configuration of New Relic or project to use an alternative SAAS like Data Dog)

  • set-up tools and alerts to anticipate and manage incidents (technical probes)

  • co-operate with our 4 product teams to setup and monitor business golden rules (business probes).

  • contribute to our infrastructure evolution toward a better horizontal scaling. (split DB from Ruby runtime, Make Ruby pod stateless, Run Rake pod separately etc…)

As part of the Tech team, you will report to the VP of Engineering and work closely with tech leads and developers.

You will be a key contributor in various projects ranging from:

  • Design and implements horizontal scaling milestones on our infrastructure roadmap.

  • Log ingestion service and strategy.

  • Design and maintain Infrastructure KPI dashboard.

  • Co-design and train teams on Business golden rules dashboard.

  • Setup an alerting system for pro-active incident management.

  • Drive adoption of DORA metrics.

  • Review APM tool usage, Propose improvements, Train the rest of the tech team into advanced usage.


Profil recherché

  • Familiar with Web/SAAS platform

  • At least a personal project that demonstrate skills in infrastructure automation

  • Initiative taking

  • Learner & curious

  • Comfortable with scripting languages (Shell, Python, Javascript, Ruby)

  • Intermediate level with Infrastructure as Code tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc…)

  • Familiar with SaaS monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic …)

  • Comfortable coding small UIs for custom needs around APIs

  • Comfortable performing API calls
