As a Technical Claims Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing and optimizing claims portfolios, identifying opportunities for reserve reduction, and ensuring fair settlements. This involves expertly analyzing claims, addressing policy conditions, monitoring progress, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to legal and industry standards.

You will report to the Chief Claims Officer Europe & UK and collaborate with the Claims, External Operations and Audit teams based in Paris.

The position can be hybrid or remote from the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

The Technical Claims Advisor has the following responsibilities:

  • Review aged Motor claims portfolio, identify opportunities for reserve reduction, and monitor claim progress.
  • Analyze claims to determine policy compliance and reasons for potential payment issues.
  • Liaise with legal professionals and negotiate claim terms while ensuring fair settlement.
  • Manage claim administration and handle associated complaints efficiently.
  • Adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations, and customer quality standards set by the company.

Experience & Key Skills:

  • Demostratable claims experience in motor, credit hire, and injury at a UK insurance company or law firm.
  • Strong decision-making skills and experience in value-based settlements.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data for loss adjusting recommendations and stakeholder management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player fostering positive work environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to find creative solutions to challenges.
