As a Medical Affairs intern, you will contribute to clinical evidence generation, scientific publication strategy, KOL network development, and center deployment activities across Waiv’s oncology AI product portfolio — RlapsRisk BC, BRCAura BC, MSIntuit Suite, and HistoPLUS/IHC. You will be supervised by the Director of Medical & Clinical Affairs, with cross-functional access to Product, R&D, and Operations teams.
Position is based in Paris, with hybrid working available (minimum 3 days/week on-site preferred).
Scientific & Regulatory Watch
Run weekly PubMed literature monitoring on key portfolio topics: biomarker, AI based diagnostic and decision making solutions
Track regulatory and reimbursement developments in EU/US for digital pathology tests
Publication Strategy
Build and maintain the team’s publication tracker (title, authors, status, target journal, deadline)
Support bibliography compilation (Zotero / Mendeley) for specific material like value dossier or regulatory filing
BRCAura Support — Impact Study & Center Network
Identify and compile a database of target centers (EU + US) to enroll in clinicial programs
Prepare personalized outreach packs per center and maintain the site status dashboard
Synthesize KOL interview notes and congress report into structured insights tables
Contribute to input and format study protocol
Congresses & KOL Management
Build the 2026–2027 congress calendar with abstract deadlines
Prepare KOL profiles for Advisory Board and support preparation of material and presentation
Coordinate advisory board organization
Synthesize post-congress KOL interviews into actionable insights
Pharma Partnerships & External Communication Support
Contribute to formatting scientific dissemination materials
Provide documentary support for B2B partnership activities ( discussion guides) and reimbursement dossiers on an ad hoc basis
Build and maintain standardized KOL interview report templates and the materials tracker
Internal Training Program — Digital Pathology & Waiv Products
Complete a structured 6-week onboarding program co-facilitated by Medical Affairs and Scientific Operations, covering: anatomopathology basics, digital pathology & AI, BRCAura BC, RlapsRisk BC, MSIntuit Suite, HistoPLUS & TME, CE-IVDR/evidence fundamentals, and pharma & B2B partnerships
Produce a one-page summary sheet per module, compiled into a reusable onboarding booklet at end of internship
Required qualifications / experience:
Master’s degree (M2 minimum) in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or biomedical engineering — oncology, cell biology, or bioinformatics specialization appreciated
Rigorous bibliographic research skills (PubMed, Zotero) and strong written communication in French and English
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint — strong attention to detail and deliverable-oriented mindset
Professional English mandatory (scientific reading, internal and external communication)
Interest in AI in healthcare or digital pathology
Preferred qualifications/bonus skills:
Knowledge of tumor microenvironment or Immunoscore
First experience in medical affairs, CRO, or clinical research
Familiarity with CE-IVDR regulatory framework or HTA/reimbursement processes
French language skills
