Your assignment

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will act as a genuine business partner in the development of Valiantys. You'll be responsible for managing customer credit, chasing up unpaid debts and, above all, setting up a collection process and tools for the whole group. (8 subsidiaries). Your analysis of the KPIs will enable you to set priorities in terms of dunning and alert the teams in liaison with the customers concerned. You will also need to support the Revenue Management, Sales and Delivery teams by raising their awareness of the importance of managing and monitoring customer credit.

Things you'll be working on : 

Because it's a new position and we are implementing an ERP, everything needs to be built.

- Build and implement a new credit management tool.

- Configure and set up the reminder processes in this tool. Establish a clear cash collection process.

- Implement the reminder letters for all entities in the ERP (Integrated Management Software).

- Ensure that early deliveries are correctly executed in accordance with our internal rules.

Customer accounts management

- Conduct collections and follow-ups with customers

-Initiate early reminders for all significant deals.

- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (customer, sales team, Delivery etc.) to avoid payment delays.

- Validate longer payment terms for new customers. Adhere to all specific payment conditions and factoring contracts.

- Handle disputes with customers.

- Review the customer ledger and communicate necessary information or actions to financial controllers.

Cash forecasting

- Estimate the payment date of customer invoices.

- Forecast currency receipts for upcoming weeks/months.

- Integrate daily statements into the treasury software (Kyriba) and manage currency receipts.

Reporting

- Calculate and explain the DSO (day sales outstanding).

- Cash flow: Explain the variation in customer balances on a monthly basis.

- Weekly status of KPIs and customer accounts (AR).

- Maintain the list of slow-paying customers.

What you need to be successful

You speak English and French fluently. (If you speak German, it would be great!).

Graduated in a master's degree in finance and/or with proven experience in credit management, with the ability to go beyond simple follow-ups. Your experience or studies have provided you with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, especially the concepts of debit and credit related to clients.

You have a strong ability to analyze customer payment behaviors and to define credit strategies, and you need excellent communication skills both with internal and external clients.

You enjoy building processes, and you're not afraid of starting from scratch.

If you are familiar Netsuite by Oracle, that would be a plus.
