At Upway, the Product & Tech team builds with heart for our consumers, individual and professional sellers, and our operations teams. We create scalable sourcing channels to acquire e-bikes, run the most efficient operations in our UpCenters to restore bikes to their prime, and provide our customers with an exceptional online shopping experience.
We are looking for a Product Manager to solve unique challenges and create solutions for our buyers, sellers, and operations teams across the globe.
🚴 Products you may work on
Sourcing bikes. Build the most efficient acquisition channels for e-bikes. This means creating products for individual e-bike owners looking to sell their bike, as well as a B2B app used by thousands of professional retailers worldwide. The challenge: how do you make Upway the obvious choice for someone selling their e-bike, whether they’re a consumer with one bike or a shop managing hundreds?
Selling bikes. Own our global online store where we match customers with their perfect e-bike. This is about solving trust (how do you convince someone to buy a €2,000+ refurbished e-bike they can’t touch or test?), discovery (how do you help both novices and experts find the right bike?), and delivering an exceptional purchase experience. Beyond the sale, you’ll also work on the full ownership journey, ensuring customers feel confident and supported throughout.
💙 What you will do
Become the go-to expert on your users. You’ll understand their needs and pain points across all our markets. This means analyzing data, leading user research, visiting UpCenters, talking to bike shop owners, and spending time with customers. You’ll build knowledge that helps you prioritize the right opportunities.
Shape the problems worth solving. You’ll take ambiguous, messy problems and turn them into clear, well-scoped opportunities. You’ll shape the work before it gets built, not just hand off requirements.
Build delightful product features. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering team and designers as they build the solution. You’ll stay close to unblock decisions, validate assumptions, and ensure we’re building the right thing.
Measure impact and iterate. You’ll monitor the products you launch, measure their impact, and use insights to continually improve. You’ll run A/B tests, analyze results, and decide what to do next.
Work across products and geographies. You’ll collaborate with international teams based in Paris, New York City, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Antwerp, Brussels, and more.
Experience. At least 4 years in Product Management or a Product-related role. Ideally, you’ve worked in a startup or scale-up environment, preferably internationally.
Discovery and problem-definition. You excel at the fuzzy front-end: talking to users, synthesizing insights, and framing problems clearly. You know how to narrow scope and make hard trade-offs. You don’t just gather requirements, you shape what should be built and why.
Ownership and accountability. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and take full ownership of the conception and success of your products.
Attention to detail. You have a knack for crafting clean problem definitions and a sharp, consumer-first eye for what makes products delightful and user-friendly.
Analytical rigor. You have experience writing SQL queries and running A/B tests.
Languages. Fluency in English is mandatory; French or German is a plus.
