At Upway, we’re building software that spans the entire e-bike lifecycle: from acquiring bikes from individuals and retailers worldwide, to refurbishing them in our UpCenters, to selling them online to people who’ve never bought an e-bike before.
We are looking for a talented Product Designer to craft experiences in an industry that historically hasn’t invested a lot in design, but one that’s evolving rapidly. This is both the opportunity and the challenge!
🚴 Products you may work on
Bike Acquisition. Products for both individual e-bike owners who wish to sell their e-bike, and a B2B app used by thousands of retailers worldwide. You’ll design experiences that make Upway the best place to sell an e-bike, whether you’re a person with one bike or a shop with hundreds.
Operations. The internal software that powers everything we do: logistics, repairs, spare parts management… These tools need to be incredibly productive and intuitive because our teams use them all day, every day!
E-commerce: our global online store. The core challenges here are trust (how do you make someone buy a refurbished e-bike online when they can’t touch it, test it?), matching (helping novices and experts alike find their perfect bike), and delivering the best purchasing experience possible and beyond.
What you’ll do
Problem-solving at the core. You’ll tackle ambiguous problems that require more than polished UI.
Design craft and excellence. You hold yourself to a high standard and you raise the quality bar in terms of visual design, UX and copywriting.
Discovery. There’s so much to learn from our users. That might mean visiting bike shops, shadowing mechanics in our UpCenters, or interviewing first-time e-bike buyers. You’ll develop deep empathy for the people you’re designing for.
Partnership across teams. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams. You’ll improve our ways of working and make design at Upway efficient.
Vision. You’ll own the design vision for your areas. That means thinking long-term, being bold, and communicating clearly about where we should go.
At least 4 years of product design experience
Track record on both B2B and B2C products
Strong craft across UX, UI, and systems thinking
Curiosity and empathy: you genuinely want to understand the people you’re designing for
Collaboration: you know how to work with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to get things done
Strong English communication: you’re fluent in English and can collaborate effectively with our international teams (French is a plus but not required)
📍 Location: Paris. You’ll join 2 Product Managers, 1 Product Designer and 15 Software Engineers.
