Descriptif du poste

The Merchandising Manager’s mission is to build the collection by developing products (mainly textiles) and intervenes from the identification of the need to the placing in stock of the product.

The Merchandising Manager is in charge of the following functions:

1/ Building the collection plan

  • Development of the collection plan for Vitality brand products and co-branded & licensed products, in line with the sales and marketing strategy and the brand image
  • Definition of units of requirement, sales prices, quantities, in compliance with turnover objectives, purchase budgets and margin rate objectives
  • Operational follow-up of the equipment manufacturer
  • Identification and development of highlights during the year
  • Proposal of collaborations with designers or brands
  • Planning and monitoring the dates of the various deadlines that mark the development of the collection

2/ Management of the product offer

  • Design and development of the product offer
  • Management of manufacturing and product quality
  • Management and monitoring of the performance of the product offer

3/ Supply chain management and procurement

  • Supply management: volume of products required in relation to sales targets, stocks and shop capacities for standard products in conjunction with the point of sale manager
  • Follow-up of suppliers and subcontractors; implementation of delivery schedules
  • Monitoring production forecasts and new product launches to ensure delivery and availability of products
  • Analysis of supplier performance and supply chain costs
  • Management of storage locations

4/ Management of in-house and pro-ordering

  • Management of all internal orders: esport, talents, seeding, partners day, specific requests
  • Setting up of follow-up files
  • Anticipation of the competition calendar to meet the merch needs of the teams

5/ Implementation of processes allowing for continuous improvement

  • Follow-up of results, production and presentation of reports
  • Building action plans to improve revenues and margins
  • Relationship with suppliers
  • Pro-activity on all actions allowing the improvement of our offer with a view to satisfying our customers and optimising monetisation

6/ Trend and regulatory monitoring

  • Monitoring of products and market trends
  • Monitoring market developments and customer expectations
  • Analysis of the competition
  • Collaboration with our legal partners on various issues

Profil recherché

  • Knowledge of the market and existing manufacturers/suppliers.
  • Technical textile expertise (jersey, denim, sportswear), passion for product development, design and quality.
  • Enjoy working with suppliers, studio, material/component developers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sense of teamwork.
  • Rigorous, involved and proactive.
