😎 Your future position :

We are looking for one of our Engineering Directors ! In full remote or Paris and Montpellier 🌈
You role will be +80% management, mentoring, roadmap, priorities, communication, transversal…

You will be responsible for :

  • Coordinate the teams of your tribe to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Manage and grow your team’s managers.
  • Work together with other tribe directors, the CTO, and business teams to continuously improve our processes and communication, and embody and nurture our company and engineering values.

Your mission 🔥:

  • Communicate the company vision and priorities to help the team prioritize efficiently, and translate the high-level strategic vision into a clear and actionable roadmap with your teams.
  • Build or contribute to programs or policies to nurture company culture and values, and make sure engineering guidelines are known and enforced.
  • Work with peers to solve problems across teams or tribes, detecting and removing deficient organizations and processes, proposing innovative processes and/or organizational changes, aligning teams across the whole company.
  • Develop your managers’ leadership and people skills, support them in getting a broader vision, organizing their team and processes efficiently, and making the right decisions. Work with them to spot and address issues early.
  • Actively participate in hiring the best engineering talents for the company, inspiring people to join and stay.
  • On occasions, contributes to architectural decisions with a focus on the product and business needs now and in the future, asking the right questions to help the team get to the right decision.

🥇Your future team :

You will be leading a tribe and manage the engineering managers of feature teams, each composed of a squad of developers with complementary skills (front-end, back-end, full-stack, mobile, etc.), most of them are in full remote or in Paris and Montpellier.

At Swile, the Innovation department (100 tech) is divided into 15 feature teams spread over our 4 Tribes 🦾

  • Swile Card (Employees benefits; gifts, cards, meal vouchers, mobility, travels… )
  • Swile Connect (Social app, insights surveys…)
  • Swile Affiliates (Places and our affiliate partners; restaurants / GMS brands / marketplace / e-commerce site, etc.)
  • Swile Core (our cross-functional teams; security, finance, payment, engineering efficiency, platform, etc.)
    Our technology is mainly made up of web developers experienced in Ruby / Ruby-on-Rails (40%) and JS Node & React (60%) technologies and frameworks, full swift iOS mobile side and full Kotlin Android.

The Swile platform is made up of several web applications and micro-services, each of which has its own database and API. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS and described in Terraform and Kubernetes.
Joining Swile means working on a service with very high potential, which is deployed internationally (LATAM), and which involves real technical challenges: scalability, user traffic, B2B2C, payment… 🚀

  • Have good tech background and passionate about one of our stack Javascript (Node, React), Ruby, or Mobile
  • Constantly looking out for new tools, taking initiative and proposing improvements, passion for growing, developing, and guiding people
  • Are a “doer”, even when the product is not perfect, we deliver and we iterate!
  • Have experienced: ideally, 10 years of minimum experience to adapt to our pace easily, follow the roadmap and work with remote teams, Paris or Montpellier
  • Have good knowledge of our daily tools: Slack, Google Suite, Notion, Git…

Déroulement des entretiens

🔥 Our hiring process :

  • First screen : a 45 minute video interview with a recruiter from the hiring super team

  • Experience Interview : an exchange with our CTO, Eric, to challenge your hard & soft skills

  • Assessment : 1h Architecture Design System test with 2 developers

  • Swile Interview : an essential step, our cultural fit! This will be the opportunity for you to talk about your motivations and values by meeting 2 Swilers from other departments.

  • Final Round: : the interview with our CEO, Loïc, to validate the last points that remain outstanding, on your side as well as ours!
