Job description

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to drive the vision and strategy for our product stories and how we help developers and businesses understand the value of Strapi. The Product Marketing Manager will work directly with the Company and Marketing leadership to directly impact the growth of one of the most popular Headless CMS on the market.

In this role, you’ll collaborate on go-to-market across Product, Sales, and Marketing and translate complex product capabilities into compelling positioning and content. As a product marketer, you’re obsessing with delivering the right content at each stage of the customer’s adoption journey, by managing the production of marketing collaterals and by equipping sales with the right stories and talking points.

As a key member of our marketing organization, you will oversee highly visible product launches, both internally and externally, to be consumed by thousands of active users and customers. This is your career-defining opportunity to help both IT and Marketing teams realize the benefits of Headless compare to Traditional CMSs.

Missions

  • Research and define our enterprise buyer and user personas, their specific needs, challenges, and goals that we can help address.
  • Research, document, and operationalize particular customer use cases and problems that Strapi solves.
  • Identify and define the key value drivers which differentiate Strapi in the market.
  • Develop product marketing collateral such as website pages, blogs, white papers, webinars, videos, decks, and data sheets supporting the buyer’s journey communicating the value of Strapi.
  • Participate and contribute to field and industry events as a Strapi evangelist and thought leader.
  • Develop and deliver product, market, and industry-specific enablement to the Strapi sales team and partners.
  • Create campaign messaging and content as required to support ongoing marketing initiatives.

Preferred experience

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing for a technology company
  • The right attitude - Self-starter and has the ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and passion to make great things happen.
  • The experience of working in a fast-moving customer-led culture is essential. A positive, can-do and pragmatic approach.
  • Technical background or good understanding of Content Management Systems and headless CMS paradigm; familiarity with Node.js, Javascript, and Open Source a plus.
  • Outstanding English communications skills with the ability to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Able to coordinate across many teams and iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Proven ability to be self-directed, multi-task and keep a number of actions moving forward at once.
  • Experience with Software-as-a-Service offerings and open core software a plus.
  • Experience designing sales collateral from scratch based on sales conversations, sales calls, product interviews, user interviews, market research, and your own experience.
