Job description

As the privileged contact for production in case of hazards, the production engineer supports the production teams and ensures that quality standards are met. He / she is in charge of studying manufacturing processes and designing solutions to optimize them, equipment management (sourcing, maintenance, monitoring, availability, safety), homogenization of production methods and product traceability.

Standardisation of production methods
• Define work standards, actively participate in the design of product manufacturing ranges, define the procedures to be followed.
• Train production staff in the standards and ensure their follow-up.
• Carrying out preliminary studies for projects to improve reliability, increase production and reduce scraps, in collaboration with the production managers and the industrialisation team.
• Monitor the activity indicators of the production workshops (dashboards, graphs, etc.), and implement action plans to achieve the objectives.
• In collaboration with the production managers, implement tools allowing the traceability of products during production

Availability of the production tool
• Guarantee the daily availability of the equipment according to the production plan and respect the productivity objectives.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs (control, corrective actions, maintenance, etc.).
• Analyse malfunctions, implement an action plan and ensure the corrective maintenance of the equipment.
• Ensuring the follow-up of instruments and training of operators
• Management of service providers for repair, calibration and maintenance of equipment.

Preferred experience

• Master 2 or general engineer degree, preferably in the field of production, industrial engineering or related field
• Has 3+ years of experience in production
• Has one or more successful experiences participating in the development and improvement of an industrial system, ideally in the medical industry
• Idealy has a good knowledge of quality & regulatory standards in the field, ex. ISO 13485, IVDD or IVDR
• Has a team spirit, with excellent communication skills
• Is pro-active, autonomous and rigorous
• Likes to interact with multiple teams and interfaces
• Is willing to learn and sometimes to step out of his comfort zone
• Must be able to communicate in French and English
