Your Role
You will play a central role within our Farmer Sales team, ensuring our presence in the French and Belgian markets. You will be responsible for promoting our carbon compensation programme directly to Belgian and French farmers, and for ensuring that our programme becomes the benchmark in the sector. You will also be responsible for managing one of our commercial zones.
Key Responsibilities :
Business development and acquisition
Regional strategy: develop and implement a local action plan aimed at generating qualified leads.
Conversion: manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact with prospects to final contract signing.
Prospecting: identify new opportunities directly or through strategic partnerships (cooperatives, traders).
Account Management & Loyalty
Support: Support farmers throughout the year (data entry, deadlines).
Retention: Anticipate needs to maximise contract renewals and customer satisfaction.
Partnerships: Manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with partners in the area.
Field Presence
Representation: Be the face of Soil Capital at trade shows, forums, and agricultural events.
Networking: Build a network of trust with local players in the agricultural world to establish the programme’s reputation.
Operations & Strategy
Optimisation: Improving sales tools, internal processes and marketing materials.
Field Feedback: Reporting market analyses and farmers’ needs to develop the product range.
Management: Ensuring regular reporting and supporting the collective performance of the sales team.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is keen to work as part of a motivated team and has a particular interest in agriculture or everything related to our environmental future. The following characteristics are the most important:
You have a background in business or agriculture (Master’s degree)
You have a commercial mindset and enjoy a challenge.
You are articulate, dynamic and resourceful.
You want to get involved and develop your skills in a start-up ecosystem, in France and internationally.
You are fluent in French and have a professional level of English (our internal language of communication).
