Après avoir développé et commercialisé les robots humanoïdes NAO et Pepper, Softbank Robotics Europe développe désormais une nouvelle génération de robots de services. Ces développements mobilisent de nombreux métiers (électronique, mécanique, logiciel) au sein de la R&D.

The Robot Applications Senior Manager is responsible for running the teams who use the robotics hardware and middleware produced by the R&D teams to implement the use cases our robot will serve to our clients.

SBRE Robotics Applications are a portfolio of Android applications, running on and around our robots, and implementing different use cases. The development of new versions goes in parallel with the maintenance of versions deployed on the market and explorations of new use cases.

The Senior Manager’s mains missions are:

• Overseeing around 15 developers, including two managers as direct reports
• Defines and implement strategies with sub-contractors to absorb load peaks
• Formalize good practice and consolidate them across teams so as to make multidisciplinary efforts efficient
• Consolidate reporting of the various projects
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering and methodology

Requirements

Profil

• Experienced software R&D Manager, with more than 10 years of working experience, including:
• 3 years of experience as a software developer (Android / Kotlin applications or embedded software is appreciated)
• 3 years of experience as the manager of an software development team
• Good working experience with agile methodologies
• Knowledge of good practice of software engineering
• Familiarity with UX Design and Creative Content Management (Graphical Assets, Sound Design, Character Design…)
• Experience publishing deliverables in the Play Store or through a Android Entreprise MDM is appreciated
• Knowledge of Robotics, especially Human-Robot Interaction is appreciated
• Fluent technical English and French are mandatory
• Experience in international environments or projects is appreciated
