The compliance officer as part of the Financial Crime Unit participates in the development of the compliance culture within the bank and ensures compliance with regulations and procedures relating to Sanctions & Embargoes and the fight against money laundering & terrorism financing. Assigned to the SGSS business line dedicated to securities services, you will participate in the development and execution of the financial crime control plan and support the business on a day-to-day basis.

Tasks and responsibilities

Concretely, you will be required to:
• Review and validate the high risk "Know Your Customer" files managed by the business line
• Treat the complex or risky alerts relating to money laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes
• Participate to the supervision of the business line on other usual KYC files and AML alerts by executing sample testing
• Monitor the proper follow-up by the business line of Financial Crime indicators (Politically Exposed Persons, blocked accounts, frozen assets, etc.)
• Contribute to the definition of processes and controls to be deployed by the business line
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Compliance culture and the application of quality professional ethical standards (training, communication, etc.)

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Law, Finance, Audit or Risk

Language skills:
• Fluent in French
• Proficient in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• High sensitivity to risks
• Organization and priority management
• Analytical and synthetical mind
• Ability to solve problems, process orientation and continuous improvement
• Stress resistance

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburgis to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
