Descriptif du poste

Société Générale's ambition is based both on the business orientations that guide the influence that the Group seeks to have on the world: climate change, social innovation and sustainable development and three cross-functional areas that dictate the conduct of our business: customer satisfaction and protection, ethics and governance, and responsible employer matters.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Environment & Social Risk Team. The Environmental and Social Risks ("ESR") Team is part of SG's Risk Management division in the Americas Region (the "RISQ Division" or "RISQ").

RISQ's mission is to independently analyze, challenge, opine and monitor the risk-taking activities of the Business Lines in order to get the best possible outcome for the Bank. The RISQ division supports activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which are almost exclusively Corporate & Investment Banking activities. Environmental & Social risks management consists of identifying, measuring, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting the impact of environmental and social risk factors on all existing risks faced by SG Americas activities.

The V.I.E. Environmental and Social Risk Analyst will:

  • contribute to the development of E&S risk assessment methodologies and tools
  • contribute to the development of risk identification and assessment for E&S risk including the production of indicators and metrics
  • assist the E&S Risk Team with the implementation of the E&S Risk Framework creation and maintenance of governance documents and preparation of reporting
  • centralize climate (physical and transition risk) data from multiple sources and aggregate for analysis
  • conduct project management in support of local regulatory preparedness for climate related financial risk management

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.

To facilitate the examination of your application by our English-speaking managers, we thank you for applying in English.

Studies & experience:
  • Graduate with a Master degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Project Management, Sustainability/Sustainable Finance, Environmental Sciences, or related subject
