Responsibilities
- The primary mission of the candidate will be to support the front officer covering the Energy (EPG) and Mining (BMI) project finance businesses; from time to time, the candidate may also be required to support the Export Finance and Shipping/Transport teams, as well as the team covering the wider Infrastructure sector
- Will assist in gathering data and market intelligence across customers/prospects (sovereigns, corporates and financial institutions)
- May also be involved in the execution process of advisory or arranging mandates to support the Paris and London teams
- Will be involved in the internal process and credit committee preparation
- Will be involved in financial, technical and legal analysis of the considered projects
- Will work on transversal subjects such as Energy Transition and ESG
- Will work on external presentations (pitches, proposals, term-sheets) as well as internal documents (client mapping, strategy, internal reports, presentations)
- Will liaise with the respective Business Line teams around the world, predominantly Paris and London
- Will be occasionally meeting customers or prospects on certain transactions
The candidate will have the opportunity to discover the full suite of project financing products (advisory, arranging, capital markets etc.) available to institutions across the sovereign, corporate and financial institution sectors. The candidate will work on pitches and execution and will learn techniques that will help him/her develop skills across management, marketing, sales and communication. The candidate will benefit from being in the regional office of a growing and important region to the bank with a lot of focus from senior management.
The GLBA Business Lines team in Dubai is client-facing and the VIE would develop his/her experience on work carried out for clients.
The roles do require much internal collaboration and he/she will liaise with the respective GLBA Business Lines teams around the world, predominantly Paris and London as well as the coverage (regional and industry) teams and different product groups relevant to his/her position within the GLBA Business Lines team in Dubai.

- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with aspecialization in Corporate Finance
- A previous experience in Finance (Export Financing, Project Finance, Asset Finance etc.) would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
- Arabic communication skill is an advantage but not a requirement
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in
Dubai is to begin
as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last
12 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
