In order to support Scaleway's ambitious growth strategy, the Marketing department is recruiting a Growth Mailing Guru who will be responsible for the email channel's contribution to our stellar journey of growth.

The team

You will be part of a young and passionate multinational team that works hybrid from our offices in Paris and Lille or from home.

The team mission is to optimize marketing campaigns across different channels and enhance key performance indicators that contribute to Scaleway's revenue growth.

The team is a small-size team of 4 people focusing on channels such as website, email and paid media. In the organizational chart, the growth team sits in the marketing department of Scaleway, and operates under the management of a CMO.

The role of Growth Campaign Marketer is a newly created position, and we are seeking an experienced growth marketer who is ready to establish and shape the role of email marketing at Scaleway.


As Growth Campaign Marketer, you are responsible for establishing our e-mail marketing strategy taking into account our growth ambitions and focusing on different stages in the buyer journey (nurturing, activation, adoption, expansion, retention). You will plan, execute, and optimize, end-to-end email marketing campaigns aligned with business goals and the communication strategy. You will be in charge of new logos campaigns but also nurturing and expanding the activity of existing clients. You will contribute to the experiment's roadmap and you will define new campaigns to achieve our specific goals. 


  • You are accountable for activation, expansion and retention through email marketing of our customers and target audience.
  • You define and manage KPIs that answer company goals and customer journey stages. 
  • Using Tableau, and with teh support of our DataOps Team, you create dashboards to monitor the performance of your campaigns and measure their impact on your key kpi's.
  • You analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making and optimization. 
  • You have a deep understanding of customer segments and behaviors and you are able to inform segmentation strategies and craft personalized messages.
  • You are able to craft compelling and effective messages compatible with emailing format and aligned with the rest of the communication strategy. 
  • You will work with cross functional teams: product marketing managers, marketing managers and other channel owners.
  • You will give visibility to your managers and stakeholders and you will present your data and data interpretation.
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • You have previous experience in being accountable for a growth metric like activation, retention or expansion.
  • You have previous experience working with email marketing, lead nurturing and/or marketing automation.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)You are proficient with marketing automation technology such as Marketo, Hubspot, Marketing Cloud …
  • You have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM compliance and GDPR regulations.
  • You have creative thinking and problem solving abilities to innovate and improve campaigns performance. 
  • You understand how other marketing channels work and how your channel contributes in the buyer journey. 
  • You are curious & passionate about the future of cloud computing.
