The Team
The Network Products team develops and operates network functionalities for Scaleway’s cloud (Elements) and bare metal (Dedibox) customers. The products include Load Balancer, Private Networks and future releases which will include a complete Virtual Private Cloud offering. Our activities combine pure API/backend/worker software development and network device automation through software (aka SDN).

The Mission
We are looking for a multi-disciplinary profile to take care of the deployment of new networking products in Scaleway’s infrastructure and tools to ensure the smooth operating of these products. You will monitor the deployed products on a daily basis, and suggest new ways to improve the stacks they leverage.

You will also work with and report to the global Platform team as “local architect” to refine the processes and tools used by all technical teams within Scaleway. You will be in charge of injecting internal architecture solutions into your product stack and guaranteeing that the product’s architectures match Scaleway’s expectations.

This covers the following activities:

• Packaging and deployment (Ansible, Terraform, Packer)
• Monitoring/Logging (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Tracing (OpenTelemetry)
• CI/CD (Gitlab)

Who are you and what expertise do you need?

• You have at least 5 years experience in Linux administration and internals.
• You have at least 5 years experience in coding, ideally in a hosting or cloud provider company.
• You like to test and deploy new Open Source solutions to improve on what already exists and find new ideas.
• You are familiar with or strongly interested in the world of hosting and the cloud, and you are willing to learn cloud networking.
• You are a team player and willing to work hard and have fun.
