MISSION

Within CMC function, in the Global CMC Project Management department, the ambition is to build a strong End to End R&D Supply Demand integrating Demand Forecast & Planning of Supplies, supporting Projects Development and Operations through the entire value chain (from R, D to LCM). With the aim of developing a Demand & Supply Center of Excellence, the mission of the Demand & Supply Leader is to integrate Project Strategy, Clinical and CMC Operational plans for an early definition and optimization of E2E Demand & Supply plan while considering cost & risk (DS/DP/IMP) to support execution of Projects in respect with Regulatory and Quality requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead collaborative work with GPH, GPM, clinical lead and CSO PL to define the clinical assumptions for an early forecast of the Clinical Demand
  • Integrate all Development Demand and align with all R&D contributors operational plans (CMC, CSO, TMED, DMPK, PCS) and Regulatory submission/approval plan
  • Forecast Long Range Plan Demand based on assumptions worked with interfaces 
  • Consolidate non-clinical & clinical demand and connect with Global Supply Chain
  • Accountable for Demand & Supply plans optimization
  • Lead Demand & Supply Sub Team
  • Run forecast & alignment scenario with associated risks, costs to support strategic project decisions
  • Act as central coordinator to integrate CSCO planning and constraints, with CMC planning and development constraints
  • Interface with CSC Operations, CMC & IA to align DS/DP strategy with IMP strategy to ensure end to end optimization
  • Accountable for defining the best sourcing strategy and supply of marketed products/comparators and contribute to budget monitoring and governance
  • Provide reporting/KPIs to monitor & improve Demand & Supply performance 
  • Contribute to project documents & meetings preparation by providing standard Demand & Supply Reports (e.g. IDCC/DWG/ORC, IDP, Operational plan, Supply agreement)
  • Can support transversal initiatives contributing to simplification & harmonization

PROFILE

Education & Experience

  • PhD in Sciences (e.g. Neurosciences, I&I, gene therapy, rare diseases), or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related discipline, or Master of Science (MS) degree in a related discipline pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience of 6 to 10 years in Research and Development/Clinical Development & project management experience 
  • Experience of minimum 1 year in Demand management in Research and Development in the domain of Oncology, Immuno & Inflammation or Rare Disease/Neurology/Multiple Sclerosis
  • Experience in management of diverse modalities (Antibody-Drug Conjugates, mAb, Nanobodies, Synthetics)
  • Experience in all aspects of the project development and Demand & supplies processes, GMP, GCP and other regulatory requirements as they pertain to Demand & supplies (from early to late stages of development)
  • Experience in management of co-development projects, companies’ integration and contracts management
  • Experience in process analysis and improvement
  • Experience in management of interactions with Industrial affairs is a plus
  • Experience in training and coaching managers is a plus (including development of training materials)

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Projects Development, Clinical & preclinical Development, Clinical Supply Chain, CMC, R&D and IA interfaces 
  • Excellent skill in Project Management (PMI certification is a plus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong skill in transversal management 
  • Strong interpersonal/networking skills, team-work and transversal collaboration
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), flow diagramming and project management software required 
  • Oral and written fluency in English
