The candidate's main mission will be to manage Manufacturing Engineering for the LGI division, which consists of six sites (Gloucester, UK; Bidos, France; Toronto and Montréal, Canada; Suzhou, China; and Queretaro, Mexico). To achieve this, the candidate will coordinate the network of Manufacturing Engineering Managers/Directors across the LGI Division's sites. He is Business Process Manger for Industrialize sub process. He will oversee the improvement of maturity in various roles, in line with industrialization processes and tools such as APQP-PPAP, PFMEA, ICB, MSA, SPC, etc.
Additionally, the candidate will coordinate research and development of methods and processes to boost the efficiency of Manufacturing Engineering teams. He/she will ensure the operational implementation of GPEC (workforce planning) actions in support of the Factory for the Future vision and objectives.
In all these responsibilities, the candidate will make a significant contribution to the Industrial and Operational Excellence pursued by Safran Landing Systems, aiming to increase customer satisfaction, trust, and financial performance.
Detailed missions:
• Functional management of Manufacturing Engineering Managers/Directors at the different sites.
• Representation of the LGI Division in working groups and think tanks on industrialization topics and technical support (both at company level, Safran Group level, Customers and Organisms).
• Coordination and promotion of cross-site knowledge sharing (best practices, lessons learned, synergies, etc.).
• Supporting the technological maturity improvement post-TRL6 and facilitating technology deployment across sites, in close collaboration with the Manufacturing R&T Director. In particular, he is in charge of leading maturity increase on Reach process
• Working with Information System Managers for Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing to define needs and support the deployment of the digital factory (methods, organization, tools, and required skills).
• Leading the roadmap for digital inspection and ensuring deployment across all sites.
• Facilitating the Experts' network with the principal expert, and leading Manufacturing Engineering business working groups.
• Keeping skills management data up to date for each job type (“GPEC”), mutualizing training path, and with concrete implementation follow-up
• Supporting sites with recruitment and retention strategies both locally and globally.
• Contributing to each site's development plans, measuring and consolidating the overall plan.
• Setting KPIs to monitor each site's progress in the development and deployment of the tools and processes.
Master's degree (Bac+5) with more than 8 years of experience in industrial engineering and team management
Experience in an industrial environment
International work experience or experience in a multicultural environment is an asset
