QuantStack is looking for a software developer to join our team of contributors to the open-source scientific computing ecosystem. In this role, you will become a member of a vibrant open-source community, contribute to high-impact projects used by millions in the world, and grow to become a key maintainer of the ecosystems.
You will support the community of users of the Jupyter and xtensor ecosystems, and help shape the future of software adopted by millions of engineers and scientists in the world. In this role, you will:
Contribute to the development of the xtensor project and make it compatible with ecosystems in the same area (Apache Arrow, ArcticDB)
Work on features such as expression systems, task schedulers, language bindings, high performance memory management
Contribute to the Jupyter ecosystem and more specifically to the kernels based on Xeus, the native implementation of the Jupyter Protocol.
For this role, we are seeking strong C++ programmers, ideally experienced with build toolchains and best practices for package management on the main platforms. Experience with any of the following are strong assets to an application:
C++ programming language, CMake build system
Architecture and software design
Experience with dataframe libraries is a plus
While not mandatory, a track record of contributing to open-source software is a plus.

Our engineering team is fully remote. The company is headquartered in Paris, France, and the majority of our team is Europe-based. We will consider applications in the European Union.
