Definition: Oversees the execution and completion of technology solutions projects in the professional services arena. May manage people who lead projects supporting the company-client relationship, ensuring customer satisfaction. Provides budget analysis, labor planning and coordination of activities between client and company personnel. Monitors project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections. Oversees performance of the installation and client acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems or system integration projects or engagements.
D1 implements strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with the overall organization objectives.
Responsibilities typically include:

• Leads multiple teams and/or multiple projects (multi expertise)
• Develops plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area
• Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysi
• Requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and influence executive leader
