As Qonto Legal intern Contracts/IP/Personal Data, you will have a global overview from a legal standpoint of all aspects of Qonto’s business in particular related to contracts’ issues, intellectual property and data protection.

You will join the Legal Team, under the supervision of the VP Legal, Alexia and the Legal Managers, Luke, Cécile, Ghislain, and Ghalya you will also work closely with the Corporate team (finance, people, risk, regulatory, compliance, internal control, and strategic projects), the Tech (software and data), Product & Marketing Teams.

The objective of the internship is to enroll you as the future Legal Counsel at the end of the mission.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻As a Legal intern at Qonto, you will mainly address:

• Contract reviews and negotiations (SAAS, partnership agreements, NDAs, BtoB services agreement).
• Answering questions from the business (launch of new products features, marketing and communications campaigns).
• IP issues - copyright, trademarks and so on.
• Pre-litigation with Qonto’s clients (fraudulent operation, recovery procedures).
• GDPR and data privacy issues.
• Creating contract templates and organizing trainings for other Qontoers.

• Experience: You have 18 to 24 months of experience as an intern or apprentice with a top-tier law firm or bank/fintech and you have a strong interest in intellectual property / Data protection issues.
• Academic Background: Degree in French law and Master in Intellectual Property.
• Business-oriented: You are able to put your legal expertise in perspective with Qonto’s business and always provide recommendations that are business-oriented.
• Communication: You have strong oral and written communication skills and a good sense of diplomacy.
• Analytical mind & rigorous: You have well-honed organizational and analytical skills to quickly summarise key findings, form opinions, and make decisions.
• Curious mindset: You are an intellectually curious, open-minded, adaptable, a fast learner, and are excited by a dynamic startup environment.
• Mastery: You will need to master encountered legal issues related to digital platforms and banking fraud modus operandi during your internship.
• Languages: You are fluent in both French and English. Mastery of another European language is a definite plus.
