ABOUT THE ROLE…
Pure Storage Germany is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Executive (SAE) to join the Strategic Accounts EMEA team in Germany. In this role, you will help drive business with a small subset of strategic accounts in direct collaboration with the Strategics Team. You will coordinate the strategy and team-selling efforts with partners and teammates to close business on a quarterly and annual basis. Proven ability to exceed assigned quota, prospect, close global contracts, and build new and deep relationships with large global customers is key. A successful SAE at Pure will have demonstrated the ability to develop long-term relationships with Partners and GSIs. Ability to drive satisfied and referenceable customers while maintaining an accurate forecast. This is a hunter territory that requires experience and proven success opening large accounts.

You will be:
Prospecting: proven track-record of penetrating accounts; reaching decision-makers and closing business
Direct strategic account planning and leadership of Global strategic accounts
Manage complex relationship network of ‘C’ level stakeholders and highest level senior internal representatives
Ensure account plans are signed-off and agreed by Pure Storage and customers
Analyze statistical data related to clients business and industry to identify market trends and services focusing on contract retention and revenue growth in order to fully understand customer and market position.
Evaluate customer preferences, pricing, product terms and conditions to ensure that client requirements are met; gather and analyze data regarding competitor pricing and products and ensure that products and services fit customer requirements
Manage complex customer/ supplier / partner dynamics
Assess customer and market trends and provide timely and accurate revenue forecasting
Drive accelerated revenue growth by identifying potential markets for new and existing products and services in accounts
Identify and pursue and close sales opportunities and leads which may come from meetings, clients, other Salesforce, vendors and others
Deliver the necessary input to ensure on-time delivery of high quality proposals for managed accounts and prospects
Develop partnerships on account strategies where there are customer or industry synergies and plans
Work with Global Account Managers to optimize the customer relationship with a view to maximizing revenue and meeting customer satisfaction targets
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Deep understanding of the customer’s business, it’s market and industry alongside key decision-makers and influencers in account organization
Ability to translate customer’s objectives and strategy into relevant propositions
Actively participate in preparation of customer meetings designed for customer C level
Experienced working with C Level (internal and customers)
Strong decision-making skills – able to identify key business issues and balance conflicting interests
Strong communication skills – able to convey understanding and earn respect across Global Organizations
7 yrs.+ Enterprise Sales experience
Ability to think strategically and drive sales transformation programs
Enterprise Storage knowledge desirable
Excellent communicator (Verbal, Written, Presentation)
Native/Bilingual German and business professional English required
