About the Role
We’re looking for an ambitious, self-driven individual, who wants to be a part of a huge success story. As a Partner Development Representative (PDR) at Payhawk, you’ll generate new leads and business opportunities, playing a pivotal role in shaping our success. If you’re looking for professional growth, opportunities to hone your sales skills, and a chance to work on innovative projects, Payhawk is the place to take your career to the next level!
As a PDR, you’ll be the first to introduce our platform to potential customers, building relationships and driving pipeline opportunities for our Account Executives. You’ll receive the tools and coaching needed to thrive in a dynamic environment, and your success will be recognised and rewarded through competitive financial incentives and clear career progression. If you’re adaptable, driven, and ready to make an impact in a high-growth company, we’d love to hear from you!
Role Overview
The Partner Development Representative (PDR) is responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing high-quality partnership opportunities. The primary goal is to schedule meetings for the Partner Manager (PM) with qualified, strategic potential partners who align with the company’s growth objectives. The PDR acts as the first point of contact for prospective partners, conducting outreach through various channels, managing relationships, and ensuring smooth handovers to the Partner Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Prospecting:
Research and identify potential partners that align with the company’s strategic goals. This includes understanding the partner’s business model, pain points, and how your product or service can solve their challenges.
Outreach & Engagement:
Develop and execute a strategy for reaching out to potential partners. This includes personalising emails, making phone calls, and leveraging LinkedIn messages. The PDR should engage in a subtle, non-intrusive manner to introduce the company and the potential benefits of the partnership.
Lead Qualification:
Engage with potential partners to understand their business needs and qualify their interest in partnering with your company. The PDR will assess the potential fit based on key criteria, such as business goals, market positioning, and willingness to engage in a partnership.
Appointment Setting:
Schedule meetings between the Partner Manager and qualified potential partners. The PDR’s role is to ensure that these appointments are with partners who are genuinely interested and align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Follow-Up and Nurturing:
After initial contact, the PDR is responsible for following up with potential partners, keeping them engaged, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. This ensures that there is a continuous flow of potential leads to the Partner Manager.
Handover to Partner Manager:
Once a potential partner has been engaged and a meeting is scheduled, the PDR will prepare a detailed handover, providing the Partner Manager with all necessary context, such as the partner's needs, expectations, and any previous communications.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the Partner Manager and other internal teams (such as Sales, Marketing, and Product) to ensure alignment on partnership strategies and to gather insights for refining outreach campaigns.
