    Job description

    The Legal Team :

    We offer you a formative internship, in the heart of the legal team of a fast growing company. Managed by Mathilde, who created the legal team a few months ago after five years as a lawyer, you will work on various tasks related to legal.

    You will have the opportunity to evolve in a start-up environment and to discover how to use your legal skills to help finding solutions to OVRSEA’s key issues in France and in its international subsidiaries (contract, corporate law, transport law, employment law, regulatory, etc).

    Through the diversity of the missions that will be offered to you, you will be involved in operational and analytical missions as well as in large-scale projects.

    Legal team’s Challenges 2023:

    - Grow the legal team and spread a legal culture within the company and its subsidiaries

    - Make sure legal aspects become a key support for strategic decisions

    - Build a legal knowledge base and provide appropriate trainings for the different teams

    Your assignments will be divided into 3 parts:

    👉 Legal Operations (60%)

    -Participation in the daily legal issues management for the different teams (Sales, Ops, Finance, HR) in France and for our subsidiaries (in Spain, Italy and in the US) in collaboration with our local legal partners

    -Participation in the drafting and review of contracts and other legal documents we sign with our customers and partners

    -Participation in the implementation of legal processes for the whole company

    👉 Corporate law (20%)

    -Participation in the management of corporate matters related to OVRSEA and its subsidiaries, including BSPCE, in conjunction with our majority shareholder’s legal team (Bolloré)

    👉 Knowledge management and trainings (20%)

    -Knowledge management on different subjects: commercial law, transportation law, litigation, employment law, intellectual property, compliance, insurance, regulatory, etc.

    -Participation in the trainings of the different teams

    🔎 Who are we looking for ?

  • Curious, willing to learn a lot and quickly about being a legal counsel in a startup
  • Autonomous, dynamic and extremely motivated to join a startup that is transforming the international transport sector
  • Able to conduct legal researches on a wide range of legal topics and in an international context
  • Business-oriented and able to summarise and explain legal concepts to operational teams
  • Passionate and willing to invest in an entrepreneurial adventure in constant evolution
  • Serious, rigorous with a true professional ethic
  • A first experience in a law firm or in the legal team of a start-up is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English, written and spoken, is essential.
