Ogury’s Insights team is looking for an Insights Director to help support the needs of the growing Japanese business. This opportunity is a new role with plenty of development and growth opportunities and should be based in Tokyo.


As the Insights Director you will lead the insights function across key clients, owning all facets of the business.


Ogury’s Insights team is part of the sales organization and the main scope is to help drive sales of Ogury advertising products and partnerships by supporting the commercial teams with meaningful, relevant insights and research.

What you will be doing

  • Support sellers and CS in key meetings, helping to shine with our data and insights
  • Understanding individual markets and clients needs but finding scalable, cohesive solutions to address these at local and central level
  • Be the Data & Insights gatekeeper, ensuring sellers are delivering the right pitch. Evaluate sellers’ skills, perception of the Data & Insights proposition and monitor product adoption
  • Trainings and roll out: support, train and elevate the Sales and Client Success teams’ knowledge on Ogury data and insights
  • Proactively contribute to the evolution of Ogury products through ideation and brainstorming sessions
  • Own and execute roll out and localization for markets you’re in charge and adapt the GTM strategy
  • Feedback ideas and challenges around product needs to their manager (considering the nice to have and the need to have)
  • Spearheading Beta launches and new concept testing in region of reference
  • You are accountable for having the best data possible, providing the best insights on the market – with respect to product capabilities.
  • Sharing best practices with other Insights Leads and sellers across the organization
  • You’ll have to face some limitations of New Product Introduction while we scale
  • You’re making the difference between nice to have and need to have
  • Integrate OCS in our Portfolio to best support our strategy
  • Leveraging industry relationships, vet suitable research methodologies and establish research partnerships to help service Ogury’s clients
  • Drive and set best practices for successful measurement
  • About you

  • Has 10+ years experience, working with senior clients in a brand, agency or research corporate environment
  • Has a proven track record of working with clients at senior level
  • Has a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Media planning & measurement expertise
  • Is able to translate data into a story
  • Enjoys finding solutions to problems
  • Is an experienced presenter 
  • Is an excellent storyteller, capable of understanding clients’ needs and conveying a vision
  • Experience with measurement eg Kantar, Nielsen etc.
  • Open to occasional business travel
