Why do we need a Lead 3D Character/Monster Artist?

We’re working on the development of three games (A to AAA) across multiple genres, ranging from racing to action/adventure. Each project offers a unique gaming experience, and you’ll be focusing on our AAA action/adventure project. To breathe life into these virtual worlds, we require a Lead 3D Character/Monster Artist who can create a diverse range of 3D characters/monsters (heroes, bosses, creatures, NPC…) that align with the artistic vision of our games.

Your future team

You will join a project with 40 people (Gameplay Programmers, Designers, Artists, etc.). The team is set to grow in the future!

All artists are supervised by Jérémie (Art Director) and you will work closely with him, with the Rigger and the animation team.

Jérémie, Art Director, has over 15 years of experience in video games in Montreal, having been Associate Artistic Director and Senior Concept Artist on franchises like Dead by Daylight and Star Citizen. He specializes in defining a clear and effective artistic vision through artistic direction documents and is attentive to details to provide you with all the tools and resources necessary to achieve the production teams’ objectives.

Déroulement des entretiens

1. First conversation (20 min) by phone or video call with Arthur (Recruiter): To learn more about your experience, interests, the role, and Novaquark.

2. Technical interview (45 min) via video call with Eric (Lead 3D Artist),Armando (Senior Rigger) and Clémence (Junior Animator): To assess your technical skills.

3. Hiring Manager interview (45 min) via video call with François (Senior Producer/Project Manager) and Jérémie (Art Director): to meet your future manager and explore your leadership capacity

4. C-Level interview (45 min) via video call with Nouredine (CEO): To share the vision of Novaquark and its projects
