Descriptif du poste

The Bioinformatician we are looking for has a great expertise in computational biology, data analysis, and software tools to interpret complex biological data. His role involves collaborating with scientists, engineers, technicians and researchers to develop pipelines, analyze high-throughput datasets, and generate insights that drive scientific discovery and innovation.

Main missions (but not limited to):

  • Design, implement, optimize and maintain bioinformatics workflows and pipelines for high-throughput data & analyzing large-scale datasets

  • Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets to support R&D, product development, and experimental design

  • Rapidly prototype and test computational approaches to address novel scientific challenges

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate raw data into biological insights and decision-making tools

  • Evaluate and implement emerging bioinformatics tools, methods, and technologies

  • Document workflows and communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Contribute to intellectual property, publications, presentations as the company grows and grant proposals when applicable

  • Stay current with emerging bioinformatics tools, methods, and technologies


Profil recherché

Required:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl.

  • Proficiency with bioinformatics tools, databases, and platforms (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser, BLAST, GATK).

  • Experience with high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., RNA-seq, WGS, WES, scRNA-seq).

  • Familiarity with machine learning, statistical modeling, or data visualization is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Extreme scientific rigor and attention to detail

  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision

  • Team spirit, good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiency in English

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Familiarity with workflow management systems (e.g., Snakemake, Nextflow, CWL)

  • Background in molecular biology, genetics, or biomedical research

  • Knowledge of version control (Git/GitHub) and collaborative coding practices
