Motul Ibérica Chemicals & Care Product Manager

Marketing DepartmentReporting to the Marketing Director, the Chemicals & Care Product Manager is accountable for driving the vision, messaging, awareness and go-to-market strategies for the Chemicals (Additives) and Care (Car, Motorcycle and Bike), and work closely with the Marketing Director on the definition of the product marketing plans per category and country (Spain and Portugal) to achieve fast customer adoption and energize sales of Motul products. This will include product portfolio management, pricing, route to market, trade promotion and communication.

Strategy

  • Define with the Marketing Director the strategy, objectives and specific product marketing actions for the different categories.
  • Identify relevant business opportunities based on deep understanding of the market, channels and customers, through in-depth analysis and identification of needs.
  • Monitor Competitors Product activity in the market, including new launches, price positioning, brand positioning and messaging.

Product Management

  • Monitor and analyze the sales and profitability evolution of the SKU’s, ranges and categories, to evaluate sku’s performance and share key highlights to activate corrective mechanisms.
  • Responsible for the new launches plan definition, including price positioning, key targets, go-to-market messaging, and product offering.
  • Development and updating of the annual product launch and EoL calendar, according to HQ strategy.
  • Keep Product data updated (SDS, TDS, PIM introduction).

Brand Image & Assets

  • Co-ordinate with the communication responsible the communication strategy (channels, target, etc), design (creativity, message, production, etc) and implementation of the different Product campaigns, news, events and collaborations as well as the elaboration of product printing materials, in line with the product strategy, dedicated budget and timings.
  • Responsible for the correct update, positioning and image of the different product ranges and portfolio in the Motul Website and other digital touchpoints.

Sales Support

  • Develop effective sales training materials for key products and new launches, making easy for sales to understand the product offering (value proposition) and key positioning.
  • Provide sales team with technical expertise.
  • Support the sales team by encouraging customers relationship and business through product presentations and techno-commercial assistance.
  • Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries within the organization.

Communication with Global Teams

  • Have a strong relationship with the Corporate Product-Consumer team, being the voice of the region, to deploy identified market requirements into possible products (trough NPR procedure) that could become a business opportunity for Motul.

Profil recherché

Requirements:

 

  • Mechanical Engineering Grade (or other engineering) with specialization in Marketing.
  • 5 years’ experience in a marketing department as product manager.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish. French will be valuable.
  • Ability to work in an international and matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and to encourage and support others to achieve their objectives.
  • Customer orientation
  • Strongly analytical.
  • Results oriented with strong time management skills, highly organized and driven to succeed.
  • Work under pressure. Manage multiple projects at the same time with tight deadlines.
  • Team player and a can-do attitude.
  • Willing to travel (30% of the time)
