As an Area Sales Manager, you will join an international and fast-growing company and you will be part of a team dedicated to being true business partners to the customers and to the Motul Group.

Some of your main missions
(1) Commercial 

- Identify opportunities and implement a sales strategy for each country/territory for optimum coverage of the market,
- Work closely with partner/distributor representatives to support and grow sales inside their key dealers and accounts, through ride-a-longs, product and technical trainings, and overall brand support at the brick-and-mortar level,
- Implement and monitor national sales campaigns, following-up, analysing and correcting any deviations from plan at territorial level,
- Improve relationships with clients by providing strategic support in the field and tactical commercial support,
- Guarantee the importer´s and Motul´s business growth within a region whilst ensuring a balanced mix between importer sell-in, sell-out, inventories and outstanding product orders, all while promoting a constant product pipeline flow,
- Keep an eye on the importer´s business and help them streamline their distribution and pricing model to maximize profitability.

(2)   Business partner 

- Maximize the BU´s Gross Profit, Net Profit and EBITDA within the assigned region by deploying an adequate product, pricing and volume strategy,
- Together with the marketing department, ensure all marketing resources are pulled and leveraged to secure the best possible value proposition for the brand’s customers and end consumers,
- Recommend to the product team the study and the launch of new products based on the demands of the marketplace,
- Provide market data and feedback including but not limited to : competitor pricing, promotions, product lines, etc. 
- Report at monthly meetings at the BU, the status of achievements, highlights of the month, trends,
- Continuously assess importer performance within the country, make recommendations for improvement actions to deploy going all the way up to leading prospection for new business or new importers within the region under his/her responsibility.

Profil recherché

Education / Qualification:

(1)   A good level of secondary education (Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, etc)

(2)   Further studies related to Sales or Marketing would be a definite advantage

Experience needed:          

(1)   +8 years’ experience with at least 3 years' experience in sales/marketing in charge of a distribution network or importers (national or international)

(2)   Experience in B2B sales, Key Accounts (B2C experience would be a plus)

(3)   Experience with S&OP process, strategic planning, sales, product, price positioning, business unit profitability, etc.

(4)   Ideal: Experience in lubricants / Oil & Gas. Experience in motorcycle, automotive or experience in consumer goods would alternatively be appreciated.

IT Knowledge:                     

(1)   Good level of numerical analysis with an advanced level of Excel

(2)   Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite

(3)   Knowledge of SAP & other ERP

(4)   Ability to learn new systems quickly
