Marketing Manager Innovation, Potato business FS /QSR CE

 

 

Reporting to the Growth strategies & Innovation Director CE, the Marketing Manager Innovation Potato business FS/QSR contributes to generate a strong pipeline of high value innovation initiatives for McCain Food service and QSR business in CE, focused on the frozen potato category.

 

You will be part of the Growth strategies and Innovation team, a cross channel team which is responsible for the identification, prioritization and investigation of growth opportunities,  and their translation into new propositions and products ready to be activated in the market.

 

To fulfill your missions, you will act as a business partner with the FS & QSR activation teams and work in close collaboration with R&D and other internal departments crucial to deliver on your projects (Finance, ISC, procurement, Quality…).

 

You’ll be supported in your mission by one project manager and a working student to whom you’ll provide guidance and coaching to help them grow.

 

Key Accountabilities :

 

In strong collaboration with the channel activation teams, define the role of innovation within channel growth plans and Identify/ prioritize category growth opportunities requiring innovation.

 

  • Identify insights and foresights that drive growth

 

  • Understand motivations and barriers to consumption, and leverage Demand spaces and  growth terrains (ie.  underserved needs and compromises) to identify /prioritize innovation platforms.

 

  • Explore and define the potential of existing/new technologies from a customer/consumer perspective

 

 

Lead the entire innovation process from idea to proposition. Define scalable platforms on which you’ll  generate insight-based ideas, across renovation, expansion and breakthrough innovation to feed the potato category pipeline for both FS as QSR.

 

  • Lead market researches (quantitative, qualitative, sensory etc…) to generate new ideas and develop customer & consumer compelling innovations.

 

  • Manage projects to successful launch through Stage-Gate process from idea generation, full P&L management and go to market strategy. Leading cross-functional project teams for each innovation project.

 

  • Develop winning customer/consumer propositions in line with brand and category strategy

 

  • Lead and/or take part in global innovation platforms by working cross borders with the global team and the larger McCain innovation community across the globe

 

  • Supervise the project managers in their mission and grow their skills and competencies

 

The job benefits from our CE work flexibility program, located in Villeneuve d’Ascq (Lille) in France requiring on site presence at least 2 to 3 days a week. Some travelling required at both European as global level.


Profil recherché

Pre-Requisites

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:

  • At least 5 to 8 years marketing experience in FMCG or Food industry companies.

 

  • Strong strategic thinking, judgment and decision-making

 

  • Solid marketing acumen, especially with regards to Insights and building of consumer/customer proposition

 

  • Strong project management skills with structured approach and a sense of urgency and bravery

 

  • Energy and passion for innovation with significant innovation / product development track record

 

  • High level of creativity, curiosity and business savvy, particularly towards BtoB environment

 

  • Ability to lead and drive engagement creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Communication (at all levels), networking, listening

 

  • Maturity in terms of appreciation of international and cultural differences

 

  • Full English capacity (daily working language).
