Indirect Sourcing Manager ( H/F/X)

Contract: Permanent/CDI

Segment: Royal Canin

Location: Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier)

This position is responsible for the development of setting strategic direction for the Capital  Indirect category for Royal Canin in Europe (4 factories, 1 head quarter).  This includes but is not limited to understanding key market/regional drivers, development of sourcing strategy, contract negotiations, obtaining contract approvals, forecasting, value engineering, managing supplier relationships and delivering improvements in areas such as cost, cash, quality, service and innovation to meet the overall business goals and objectives.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in Procurement with Capital buying & FM.
• Ability to set up a vision and embark team/stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
• Cost modeling/formula price modeling experience
• Experience managing multiple suppliers with varying levels of spend
• Strong analytical skills & market knowledge
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Autonomy, ability to do multitask, prioritize and delivery on time

What will be your key responsibilities?

This role is responsible for identifying and delivering value chain optimization opportunities and ensures that the team acts as the first line of escalation on issues between suppliers and the business, operating the supplier relationship management process with suppliers.

The job holder will assist in the implementation of new processes and procedures, governance and all activities related to change management.  The capability to lead and interact with leadership to drive this change will be vital to the role.

Capital & Factory Services:

• Analyze supply and demand fundamentals to forecast and budget annual spend
• Understand price variances and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver to overall business plans by working with internal and external stakeholders to align on goals and strategies.
• Develop market/regional strategies
• Ensures compliance with proper procedures, policies, systems and controls
• Ensure effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implement corrective actions as appropriate. 
• Manage all related commercial, financial & ethical aspects of projects
• Establish & maintain relationships with Global/regional Engineering, Plant Leads, and Supply Chain Directors, Industrial Engineer, and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge
• Continually review Vendor base to ensure new supply opportunities exist at Regional or Global level  
• Coordinate and facilitate the communication process between all functions to ensure the efficient and effective flow of the information required to run the business.
